The EcoSmart Fire Switch 44 brings customizable Switch FX flame effects, multi-color accent lighting, efficient supplemental heat, and flexible installation options to a compact built-in fireplace format. Its vent-free, self-contained design works without a chimney or gas line and can be configured for indoor or qualifying covered-outdoor spaces.

Installation & delivery
Installation & Important Notes
For outdoor use, EcoSmart Fire approves Switch installations only under a patio cover or overhang and protected from direct water contact and direct sunlight, with the required roof overhang, side protection, and floor clearance shown in the installation guide. Follow current manufacturer instructions and use a qualified electrician for hardwiring. A dedicated 20-amp circuit is required; 240V/10,000-BTU installations require the appropriate 2-pole circuit. Verify the physical fireplace and framing dimensions before cutting custom finishes.
Estimated Lead Time
Current manufacturer lead time: Typically 2–4 weeks. EcoSmart Fire has advised that Motion and Switch fireplaces ship from its St. Genevieve, Missouri warehouse. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery window. Confirm current availability and delivery timing with Modern Fireplace Living before ordering; transit may be additional.
